Bro. Freeman's 101st Birthday

Gander, 21 Sep 2022

On September 22, 2022, Bro. Allan Freeman celebrated his 101st birthday. A member of Twillingate Masonic Lodge since 1945, he is the oldest living Mason in Newfoundland and Labrador and also has the longest Masonic career in the province, now approaching 78 years!

On September 21, while enroute to Terra Nova Masonic Lodge in Glovertown, a delegation of eleven brethren from Twillingate Masonic Lodge stopped by in Gander to wish Bro. Freeman a happy birthday. It was a fine afternoon of fraternity with Bro. Freeman recounting some of his early memories of the Lodge as well as doing an excellent recitation of "The Ten Stages of Life", a lengthy poem describing what a person's life is like in 10-year intervals. At the rate he is going, it was suggested that he may have to add a new verse.
